Back to main site 🔙 ; This blog update's PLAYLIST 🎶

Hello! New blog update? Due time. A lot has happened so IM SORRY! At the time of writing me and a friend are at Costinesti with the occasion of Galaxia festival. Day two right now, we decided to cut this day short (it's barely 1 AM) so we have energy for tomorrow, also, there was no one else we wanted to see for this day…

I would be lying if I said that I wanted to come to this festival, and on my own accord I 100% would not have come, lets say I got peer pressured, but I also cant say i regret it one bit so far.
I started to get hyped up when they announced Timmy Trumpet, low-key the only artist I was really looking forward to seeing at the festival, but even if in my mind I was expecting to have a flegmatic attitude at the rest of the artists, I ended up really loving pretty much everyone!
Galaxia’s selling point is latino and reggaeton music, but i figure due to lack of popularity, not many big names were interested, so the lineup got names such as Timmy Trumpet, DJ Snake, Salvatore Ganacci and Olly Alexander (besides many other smaller, upcoming artists and various DJs at eerie corner of the festival.)
The venue is HUGE
and has stuff to do all over it, this is clearly one of the best qualities of the festival and in my opinion the marketing itself part of the reason it got so big, it costing only 25 RON to enter the main area of Nibiru (Nibiru is the name of the whole area, Galaxia is the name of the specific event that is happening right now) with a lot of stuff to do just there, two or so stages, sponsors left and right with promotions and chances to win stuff and loved romanian artists doing free (besides the 25 RON) concerts.
Some of my favorite places in the festival are probably the Bookcity container, they have a great coffee shop atop their store, with fair prices and great view, it being very central. The KissFM booth, because I found a Beach Please (different festival that took place a week prior to Galaxia) festival bracelet on the ground next to it, adding extra decor to my right hand and making me capable of larping the festival and obviously the Golden Circle.
Speaking of, yesterday we sneaked into the Golden circle! (an area reserved for VIP in front of the stage) I was very anxious in the first few minutes but as the time went i loosened up and it gave me a very sick experience at Timmy’s set, me being sprayed with champagne and catching some kind of paper glasses thing that I can take home as a souvenir!
All in all, Costinesti is great. A bit ghetto, especially the train station (I hope we make it home, we still don't know how we’re gonna come back from the brine of Romania) but it's a very fun “festival city” with a lot to do. I remember this place being a lot more… dead, in a way, having had vacations here before, I can confirm Nibiru did this place wonders, this is the Vegas of Romania, haha.

As some of you might remember from my previous blogs, the long awaited finals were ever so rapidly making their way towards my persona… finally coming into existence at the very end of June, the first exam, the one I was looking forward to the least, Romanian came. I can't say I prepared who knows how much for it, having embraced a very “lets just get over with it” -mentality, clearly showing in my grade too, this one being the worst (77%).
The Exam itself went fine, a bit chaotic but fine. Basically there was no electricity in the first hour or so of the supposed examination time, so we started writing only around 10:10, instead of 09:00 like the rest of the country. It was really rather comical though, seeing right below the window where I was seated, the administrator dude from my school teaming up with a few other guys struggling to get the subjects printed, going as far as hooking up a generator to a Dacia Logan to get some power...
This extra hour was a huge blessing, because I got this bunch of time to talk with the students seated around me about the curriculum and stuff. To be fair I'm actually kinda maybe lucky I got the grade that I got, seeing that not only the third subject was of something I barely revised, but also because my work could have easily been invalidated. What do I mean by that? Well, as I was counting my words for the last written subject, I accidentally wrote a “100”, on the FIRST page of my exam (I was on my seventh), WITH A DIFFERENT PEN, ON A DIAGONAL. This was a problem because it could have been counted as an identifying mark of my work, meant to catch the attention of the correctors committee. Thankfully nothing bad happened and my work went through and got graded! The other two exams went great.
History got postponed by a day because of the heatwave, I also got extremely lucky asking a colleague of mine some info right before the subjects came, and ending up needing the said info on the essay part of the subject. (I don't think they'll see this, we barely talk, but thanks “F”!). I scored 98% on this one!
Geography went as expected, made two or three mistakes, such as saying that Rotterdam is in Germany... 91% here. Thus concluding high school for real now, I finished with an average of 89.1%, my next objective being applying to uni starting on the 12th of June. I have to write some sort of economic report thing that I need for the application, but that won't be an issue. The topic I chose to write about is “cashless society”. What do y’all think?
At the time of writing this, I am now home, nice and cozy in my bed... It appears this update took me a lot longer to write than expected and to defend my cause I have multiple excuses! For example, Difficulties adapting to the laptop I am now working on, since this update is kind of like a test for this laptop I bought recently for uni. Speaking of, yes, I got into university! In the end i decided to go for Economical computer science In Cluj, Im somewhat scared and excited at the same time, I guess.
Honestly, I just really hope its all going to be fine in the dorms. I cant really imagine myself living alone, and ive pretty much set my mind on having to live with roomates in less than half a year. What I'm trying to say is that I'm a bit hesitant feeling that "what if" feeling in regards to the quality of my future roomies, I figure thats not that right to say though. So, for the time being, imagine I didnt say that, imagine im just like, very greatful and brave when it comes to future friendships at Uni!
Ive been wanthing to try writing a fanfic! I have a rough ideea, but man, actually starting is such a threathening feat... The thing is, besides blogging and journalling, i have never really wrote anything, so I fear I might be somewhat weak artistically when it comes to writing in perspective of others and especially describing feelings and stuff. The thing is, writing like "X feels Y" "X saw this" or "X thought about that" are really monotone and rather bad ways of writing, a writer needing to steer away as far as possible from such expressions. Me personally, this is what i need to work on the most. Realistically thought, I should just start.
Later update, I wrote the fanfic! released two chapters so far! "Vern's dim facade - Guilt at Cherryton" on AO3!
And we're back to the original blog fromat, why? Well, besides the fact that its easier to edit for me, less bloat and unoptimised stuff, its much more focused on what matters. Either way, Ill The previous version up, as a memory. I will also try to customise the rest of the blogs a bit more going forward!
Ive created a new Shrine for The Lion King! In it I also got to experiment with a new HTML and CSS template, and a new music player!
